Chocolate Protein Coffee

Getting enough protein every day can feel like a full time job! This Chocolate Protein Coffee is an easy way to boost your protein intake and get a quick “pick me up” at the same time. It’s perfect for busy mornings and also makes an effortless afternoon snack.

  • Prep Time: 2 minutes (plus brew time)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp chocolate protein powder (we like Vital Proteins brand)
  • 8-10 oz. of black coffee
  • Optional:
    • sweetener to taste
    • 2-3 Tbsp half and half

Step-by-Step Directions:

Step 1: Add protein powder and sweetener, if using, to a mug. Pour in about 2 ounces of coffee and mix thoroughly with a frother or whisk.

Step 2: Pour in remaining coffee and desired amount of half and half, then froth again. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • This protein coffee drink is best enjoyed immediately since the powder will settle towards the bottom if left to sit.
  • Milk can also be used in place of the half and half.
  • Not a chocolate fan? Try vanilla instead!
