☕ When to Make This
- Weekend brunch
- Holidays when people are hovering in your kitchen
- “I need something easy but impressive” mornings
- Or honestly… whenever you have a can of cinnamon rolls staring at you
Step-by-Step Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Place the store-bought cinnamon rolls into a lightly greased oven-safe baking dish. Set aside the cinnamon icing that comes with the store-bought cinnamon rolls for later use. Pour the heavy cream over the top and set aside.
Step 2: Warm one of the cinnamon roll icing containers in a microwave-safe bowl until melted and pourable. In a mixing bowl, combine the Apple Pie Filling, cinnamon, brown sugar, salt, the melted butter, and one of the melted pourable icings. Pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls in the oven-safe baking dish. Cover the cinnamon rolls and bake for 60-65 minutes. Uncover for the last 15 minutes of baking.

Step 3: Once the cinnamon rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the other warmed icing over the top. Serve for brunch, or as a sweet dessert.

Tips (aka how to not mess this up)
- Let it sit 5–10 minutes → it sets up just enough to scoop
- Don’t skip the heavy cream → this is what makes it soft instead of dry
- Cover first, uncover later → keeps the inside gooey, top golden
- Warm the icing → easier drizzle, better coverage
🍏 Easy Variations
- Swap apples for peaches (it works, don’t question it)
- Add chopped pecans for a little crunch
- Serve with vanilla ice cream and just call it dessert
