Toasted Prosciutto Sandwich
My son-in-law is originally from Spain and he has shared some amazing recipes with us! He introduced us to this delicious hot sandwich, Tostadas de Jamón. The jamón is very different from traditional deli ham and is similar to prosciutto. It makes a quick and tasty breakfast, but is perfect any time of day. It’s also great for holiday brunches! We like to use ciabatta rolls, but any bakery bread would work. Enjoy a taste of España at home with this Toasted Prosciutto Sandwich!

Step-by-Step Directions:
Step 1: Begin by slicing your ciabatta roll down the middle with a bread knife. Warm your ciabatta roll using your preferred method. If you like it softer, warm it in the oven at 300º F for a couple of minutes (you can also warm the roll in the oven before you slice it for an even softer center). I prefer mine to be crunchier so I either toast them in a toaster oven or air fry them at 380º F for about 3 minutes.

Step 2: Drizzle the cut side of each toasted roll half with the tablespoon of olive oil. Layer 2 slices of prosciutto onto the bottom half, cover with the top half and slice from one corner to the other making 2 triangles. The heated bread will warm the olive oil and prosciutto. Yum!

Tips:
- It’s best to assemble these immediately so that heat from the bread can warm the prosciutto a little. It’s so thin, so it doesn’t take much.
