Slow Cooker Honey Dijon Ham

This Slow Cooker Honey Dijon Ham is an easy holiday dinner with just 5 minutes of prep. A fully cooked ham warms low and slow in a sweet and tangy glaze made with honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar and white grape juice. The slow cooker does most of the work—and, even better, keeps your oven free for all those holiday side dishes. Spoon the glaze over the ham as it cooks, then serve it with a little extra sauce from the slow cooker. Easy enough for Sunday dinner and special enough for Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

bone in fully cooked ham (preferably smoked), white grape juice, brown sugar, honey, dijon mustard, and whole cloves on the counter.
  • Semi-boneless fully cooked ham: A 5–6 pound smoked ham works well here.
  • White grape juice: Adds sweetness and liquid to the glaze without overpowering the ham. Apple juice works too.
  • Brown sugar + honey: Give the glaze its sweetness.
  • Dijon mustard: Adds that tangy bite that balances the sweeter ingredients.
  • Whole cloves: Add a little warm spice to the glaze.

🍋 Simply Made Suggestions & Swaps …

  • Swap the juice: Apple juice works perfectly in place of white grape juice.
  • Already using a sweet glazed ham? If your fully cooked ham already has a brown sugar glaze, leave the additional brown sugar out.
  • Check the size of your slow cooker: Make sure your ham fits comfortably enough that the lid can close completely.
  • Don’t skip the basting: Spoon the juices over the ham a few times while it cooks to keep that Honey Dijon flavor working its way over the surface.
  • Cooking a larger ham? It will need additional time to heat through.
  • Save that sauce: Don’t toss the liquid in the slow cooker. Spoon some over the sliced ham just before serving.
