Baked Hawaiian Roll Sliders with Ham, Turkey, & Cheese
If you need something easy that people actually get excited about, these baked Hawaiian roll sliders are it. Soft, sweet rolls layered with ham, turkey, and melty cheese, then brushed with a sweet buttery glaze that takes them over the top.
Years ago, my friend Gina and I made these for a holiday party. She found a recipe online but read it wrong, so we improvised with what we had—and somehow ended up with something even better. Total happy accident, and they were gone in minutes.
Now they’re one of those go-to recipes that work for just about anything—brunch, holidays like Easter or Mother’s Day, or game day when you need a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. They come together fast, bake in one pan, and disappear just as quickly.

Step-by-Step Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400º F. Place butter in a small sauce pan and heat over low heat until melted. Stir in the sugar, honey mustard and poppy seeds to make a glaze. Continue to stir for a couple of minutes until all of the ingredients are fully incorporated and the sugar has dissolved. Leave the pan on low heat while assembling the sandwich.

Step 2: Using a bread knife, carefully slice through the middle of the rolls to make a top and bottom. Don’t separate the individual rolls! Set aside the top of the rolls. Build your sliders by completely covering the bottom half of the rolls with Swiss cheese. You may have to cut some pieces in two. Next, layer on the ham, followed by the turkey. I like to leave folds in the deli meat rather than laying them flat. Then, cover the deli meat with slices of provolone cheese. Finally, add the top of the rolls back on.

Step 3: Place the sliders onto a baking sheet. You can line it with parchment paper if you’d like. You can also assemble the sliders on the baking sheet if you prefer.

Step 4: Crunch up the crispy fried onions (I just use a fork) and stir them into the butter/sugar glaze. Immediately brush the tops of the sliders with the glaze and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. The top should be golden brown and the meat and cheese heated through. Carefully remove from the oven and slice through the perforations to make individual sliders. So good!

Tips for the best sliders:
- Pull these sliders out of the oven when they are just starting to brown. The sugar in the glaze can go from brown to black real quick! Don’t worry if they still look a little gooey, just let them sit for a minute and the glaze will be perfect.
Before you go . . .
If these disappeared faster than expected (shocking), you might want backup. Our easy Hawaiian and tropical recipe roundup has plenty more crowd-pleasers.
