- 2 cans of cinnamon rolls with icing (16 count)
- 21 oz Apple Pie Filling (large can)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp butter (melted)
- ½ Tbsp ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place cinnamon rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Set the icing aside for later. Pour heavy cream over the rolls and let it soak in.
Warm one container of icing in a microwave-safe bowl until melted and pourable. About 20-30 seconds.
In a mixing bowl, combine the apple pie filling, the cinnamon, brown sugar, salt, melted butter and only one of the melted icing sugar containers.
Pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover for the last 15 minutes.
Ovens can be different so check the center rolls for doneness. The bake is ready when the cinnamon rolls in the center are fully baked and no longer doughy. You can gently pull apart or check one of the center rolls before removing the dish from the oven.
Once the cinnamon rolls are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a 5 to 10 minutes. Warm the remaining icing sugar container, and drizzle it over the top, and serve.
