Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lb chuck roast
  • jar of pepperoncini peppers with juice
  • ranch seasoning mix; packet
  • au jus seasoning; packet
  • unsalted butter
  • beef broth; optional

Step-by-Step Directions:

Step 1: Add the chuck roast to the slow cooker. Pour in the ¼ cup of pepperoncini juice and ¼ cup of beef broth. Add 6-8 pepperoncici peppers. Sprinkle half of the ranch and au jus seasoning packets on top, then add the next layer with tabs of unsalted butter. Cover and cook on the low setting for 6-8 hours.

In a crockpot is the chuck roast, peppers and juice, packets of ranch seasoning, and gravy packet, unsalted tabs of butter on top of the meat in the crockpot on the counter.

Step 2: Using two forks, carefully shred the beef with the juices and serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
