Simple Guacamole

This no fuss, no muss guacamole is the only recipe you’ll ever need! It’s the perfect consistency and you can’t beat the blend of flavors! Serve it with tortilla chips, grilled chicken breasts or alongside your favorite Mexican dish! It will be a hit at every party!

Ingredients:

  • avocados
  • red onion
  • garlic
  • plum tomatoes (roma)
  • jalapeños
  • cilantro
  • limes or lime juice
  • salt

Step 1: Begin by finely dicing the red onion, jalapeño (seeds removed), and tomatoes, and mincing the garlic. Then, finely chop the cilantro.

Step 2: Cut open the avocados by slicing through the long side all the way around, then twist them to open the two halves. Carefully remove the pit and scoop insides into a bowl. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the avocados into desired size chunks.

Step 3: Add everything from step 1 to the avocados and stir to combine. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime (or add 2 Tbsp of bottled lime juice) into the guacamole and salt to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Preserve guacamole by storing in an airtight container. Smooth the top down and gently pour a layer of water over the top. Keep in the refrigerator and pour water off when ready to eat.
