Apple Spice Donuts
These 5 ingredient cake donuts are best eaten warm. Lightly spiced with an apple-y tang and then drizzled with a sweet vanilla icing, makes them the perfect fall treat!

Ingredients:
- spice cake mix
- apple pie filling & topping-Duncan Hines brand used
- powdered sugar
- vanilla extract
- milk

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350º F. Pour canned apple pie filling into a food processor and puree. You can also mash the apple pie filling with a fork. Combine and mix together the spice cake mix and apple pie puree.
Step 2: Generously spray non-stick spray onto donut molds. Fill molds with donut batter. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let donuts cool slightly before removing from mold. *If donut molds are overfilled then a crust may form on the outer edge of the donut. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut and remove crust.
*Baking time is approximate. Every oven is different and this may affect baking time.
Step 3: While donuts are baking make the icing. Place powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract into a bowl and whisk together until icing is smooth. Let donuts cool slightly before drizzling icing on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
*Caution- Oven will be hot!
Tips-
- Add more milk to icing mixture if icing is too thick.
