Tomato and Onion Salad
The base of the this simple and divine salad is inspired by the city of New Orleans’ flavorful cuisine. After tasting this refreshing creole salad, we created our own version. Instead of just red wine vinegar topping the salad, it is elevated with our French Bistro Vinaigrette, for a unique blend of flavors that will delight your tastebuds!

Salad ingredients:
- heirloom tomatoes
- Vadalia
- Fresh thyme
French Bistro Vinaigrette:
- olive oil
- red wine vinegar
- dijon mustard
- fresh thyme
- salt & pepper

Step 1: Thinly slice a quarter of the onion and then cut slices in half. Set aside. Thinly slice the heirloom tomatoes and then quarter them if desired.
Step 2: Place tomatoes and onion on a plate. Sprinkle with fresh thyme.
Step 3: Make vinaigrette by pouring all of the ingredients into a bowl or jar with a lid. Whisk with a fork or shake jar until mixed. Taste and add more salt, pepper, oil or vinegar accordingly. *Find complete recipe and images here-French Bistro Vinaigrette
Step 4: Pour desired amount of the vinaigrette over the salad to taste and enjoy! *Leftover vinaigrette can be refrigerated up to 3 days.

- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
- 1-2 tsp fresh thyme
- salt & pepper
