Simple Margherita Pizza (Easy, No-Stress Dinner)

Let’s be honest—some nights you want homemade pizza… and some nights you barely want to preheat the oven.

This Simple Margherita Pizza lives right in the middle. It’s fresh, cheesy, a little fancy-feeling, but also so easy it almost feels like cheating. No dough drama. No long ingredient list. No “why did I think this was a good idea at 8pm?”

It’s the kind of recipe Gen X grew into—raised on pizza rolls, now out here pretending we planned dinner all along.

Tips for the Best Margherita Pizza

  • Don’t overload it — simple ingredients work better when you let them shine
  • Use fresh mozzarella for that melty, classic texture
  • Add basil after baking so it stays fresh and bright
  • Want it crispier? Bake directly on the rack for the last few minutes

Easy Variations

  • Add a little prosciutto after baking
  • Swap tomatoes for roasted tomatoes for deeper flavor
  • Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if you like a little kick
  • Use pesto instead of garlic and oil for a different vibe

What to Serve With It

  • A simple green salad
  • A glass of wine (no explanation needed)
  • Or honestly… just eat it straight off the pan while standing in the kitchen. We’re not judging.
