  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 celery ribs, diced or sliced
  •  4-5 lb. whole chicken
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary & thyme each
  • 2-3 leaves of fresh sage
  •  ½-¾ tsp paprika (This helps the chicken develop more color since it doesn’t get crispy in the slow cooker.)
