Creepy Crispy Eyeball Treats

Ingredients:

  • crispy rice cereal
  • butter
  • marshmallows
  • *food safety gloves (3+ gloves needed)
  • *neon food coloring
  • *edible sugar eyeballs

Step 1: Choose 3 different food colors.

Step 2: In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add marshmallows. With a wooden spoon stir together until combined, about 3-5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 3: Pour ½ cup of the marshmallow mixture into a large bowl. Add 1 of the food dyes to the bowl and mix into the marshmallow mixture until combined.

Step 4: Add 2 cups of crispy rice cereal to the dyed marshmallow mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix the cereal and marshmallow mixture together.

Step 5: Spray gloves with cooking spray so they don’t stick to the crispy rice cereal mixture for the next step.

Step 6: Use gloved hands and form equal sized crispy rice balls.

Step 7: Move crispy rice balls to a lined baking sheet and press in the sugar eye.

Step 8: Repeat Step 3-7 for each different color. Change gloves between each repeated step to avoid colors mixing.

Step 9: Once Creepy Crispy Eyeball Treats have set, they are ready to serve. Enjoy!
