Almond Afternoon Cake
This was the first cake recipe I tackled in my 7th-grade home economics class, and let me tell you, it’s incredibly simple to make and absolutely delicious! You can’t go wrong with this one! It’s super moist and delicious, and it requires just a handful of ingredients, including Bisquick mix. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy with friends on a lovely afternoon. It’s easy to whip up and sure to impress everyone!

Ingredients:
- Bisquick mix
- sugar
- milk
- egg
- vanilla or almond extract
- white frosting
- sliced almonds
- non-stick spray

Step-by-Step Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350º F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with a non-stick spray.
Step 2: Combine the Bisquick, sugar, milk, extract, and egg in a mixing bowl. Pour the batter into the greased square pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the edges are slightly browned, or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the center of the cake.
Step 3: Remove the cake from the oven and cool completely before frosting and garnishing with sliced almonds.
