Tips for the Best Flatbread

  • Use slightly firm pears so they hold their shape
  • Don’t overload it—this one’s about balance, not chaos
  • Add balsamic glaze at the end (always at the end)
  • Want it crispier? Bake directly on the oven rack for the last few minutes

Easy Swaps & Variations

  • Goat cheese instead of blue if you’re not a blue cheese person
  • Add arugula after baking for a fresh bite
  • Throw on toasted walnuts for crunch
  • Use pizza crust if that’s what’s in your fridge—no judgment

What to Serve With It

  • Simple salad
  • A glass of wine (strongly encouraged)
  • Or just eat it straight off the cutting board while standing in the kitchen—we all do it

FAQ

Can I make this ahead of time?
You can prep it, but bake it fresh. That’s where the magic happens.

Is this dinner or an appetizer?
Depends on your mood. Or how many slices you eat.

Do I have to use prosciutto?
No, but it’s kind of the salty backbone of the whole thing. Bacon could work in a pinch.
