Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Set oven to 350ºF. Spray donut molds with non-stick spray. Using a large bowl, mix cake mix and pumpkin puree together.

Step 2: Spoon donut batter into greased donut molds (batter makes 10-12 donuts). Bake for 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Donuts will be hot when removing from the oven. Let donuts cool slightly before moving to a wire rack to cool.

Step 3: Warm the frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then dip cooled donuts in the frosting and return to the rack.

🍋 Simply Made Suggestions
- Make filling the pan easier. Transfer the thick batter to a piping bag or zip-top bag, snip off one corner and pipe it into the donut cavities.
- Let them cool. The donuts should be completely cool before dipping them into the frosting, or the frosting may melt and slide off.
- Decorate them. Add pumpkin seeds, chopped pecans, fall sprinkles or a light dusting of pumpkin pie spice before the frosting sets.
- Try chocolate. Substitute devil’s food cake mix for the spice cake mix to make chocolate-pumpkin donuts.
- Watch the baking time. Donut pans and ovens vary, so begin checking the donuts after 10 minutes.
