Valentine Rice Crispy Hearts

Valentine’s Day just wouldn’t be the same without our super cute heart-shaped rice crispy treats! They’re the perfect sweet treat to share with your loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • crispy rice cereal
  • butter
  • marshmallows
  • food safety gloves (3+ gloves needed)
  • different shades of pink food coloring
  • edible sugar hearts
  • silicone heart-shaped mold

Step 1: Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot. Add the marshmallows. Stir together with a wooden spoon until combined, about 3-5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2: Pour ½ cup of the marshmallow mixture into a large bowl. Add one of the pink food dyes to the bowl and mix into the marshmallow mixture until combined.

Step 3: Add 3 cups of crispy rice cereal to a bowl and add the edible sugar hearts now, if desired. Add the cereal to the pink-dyed marshmallow mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix the cereal and pink-dyed marshmallow.

Step 4: Spray gloves with cooking spray so they don’t stick to the crispy rice cereal mixture for the next step.

Step 5: Use gloved hands and press equal-sized amounts of rice crispy mixture into the heart molds. *do not overfill.

Using food-greased food gloves press pink rice crispy treats into heart-shaped molds.

Step 6: Repeat steps 1-5 for the second pink color. Change gloves between each repeated step to avoid color mixing.

Step 9: Once the Valentine Rice Crispy Hearts have set, they are ready to serve. Enjoy!
