Minced Garlic

A simple tutorial on mincing garlic . . .

Step 1: Break individual garlic pieces from bulb.

Step 2: Carefully use the flat part of chef’s knife and the palm of your hand (keep fingers lifted away from sharp edge) to press down on the garlic and break the papery outer layer. Remove the outer layer from all of the bulbs of garlic.

Step 3: Use the knife to carefully slice the garlic bulb in to slice, then switch directions and slice the other way. Rock the knife over all of the cut pieces until the pieces are very small.
