🍏 A Few Ingredient Notes

Here are a few things to know about the ingredients that give this cocktail its apple flavor and warm fall spice.

🍏 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple
I used Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple in this cocktail. It gives the martini its whiskey base along with a crisp apple flavor, so you get plenty of apple without overpowering the cocktail.

🍂 St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
If you’ve never used allspice dram, think of it as fall spice in a bottle. I used St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, a spiced liqueur with warm allspice and clove notes. You only need a small amount to give the cocktail that warm, spiced flavor.

🍮 Spiced Sugar Rim
The spiced sugar rim adds a little sweetness and warm spice to every sip. It also gives the cocktail a festive finishing touch that makes it especially fun for fall entertaining.

🍎🍸 How Many Cocktails Does This Recipe Make?

This recipe makes 2 spiced apple martinis. Each cocktail gets about 2 ounces of apple-infused whiskey, along with lemon juice, simple syrup, and allspice dram. Once shaken with ice, you’ll have just the right amount for two chilled martini or coupe glasses.

If you’re serving these for Thanksgiving or a fall get-together, simply double or triple the ingredients depending on how many cocktails you need. 🍎🍸

🍋 Simply Made Suggestions & Tips…

  • Make the spiced sugar rim first. Prepare your glasses before mixing the cocktail so they’re ready to go as soon as you finish shaking.
  • Use lemon to help the sugar stick. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it directly into the spiced sugar mixture for an even coating.
  • Serve it right away. Once the cocktail is shaken until cold, strain it into the prepared glasses and serve immediately while it’s nicely chilled.
  • Add a simple garnish. I like to finish each martini with a fresh apple slice—it looks festive without making the drink fussy.
  • Making your own simple syrup? It takes just a few minutes to make at home. Use our easy homemade simple syrup recipe  and keep any extra in the refrigerator for your next cocktail.
