White Pizza Dip

In the 1990s, Lipton printed a recipe for “White Pizza Dip” on a box. My mom and I made a few tweaks to it and made it one weekend. It was a huge hit and we’ve been making it ever since. After 30 years, it’s still my most requested pot luck dish and I’ve been told that unless I can fill a kiddie pool with it, it’s not enough. A creamy dip made of garlic and herbs melted together with cheese and pepperoni scooped onto crusty chunks of bread, what’s not to love?!

Step 2: Stir in 2 1/2 cups of the mozzarella. Cut up pepperoni (I like to use meat scissors) and stir most of it into dip reserving some for the top. Smooth the top into a mostly flat surface.

Step 3: Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese over top and use reserved pepperoni to garnish.

Step 4: Bake uncovered on center oven rock for 30-35 minutes. Meanwhile, cut bread into bite size chunks for dipping. The pizza dip is done when the cheese is completely melted and slightly browned. It will be lava hot! Let cool for 5 minutes.

Tips:

  • These particular Lipton packets can be hard to find so I order mine from Amazon.
  • We use turkey pepperoni which helps the dip from being too greasy, but traditional pepperoni works too!
