- 1 pkg cream cheese (neufchâtel or original)
- ½ can pure pumpkin (15 oz can)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (use up to 1 tsp)
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with a hand mixer on low for 30 seconds. Add the powdered sugar and mix on medium for 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula if needed.
Add the canned pumpkin and mix on low for a minute until smooth. Sprinkle in the cinnamon and nutmeg and mix on low speed then stir and scrape bowl to fully incorporate ingredients.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to eat. Serve with vanilla wafers, graham crackers, apple slices, or ginger cookies.
- Make sure you use pure pumpkin, NOT pumpkin pie filling.
- For a larger gathering, use 2 packages of cream cheese and entire can of pumpkin.
