Ingredients

  • 32 Lit'l Smokies
  • 8 oz pkg. crescent roll dough

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375º F. Roll out the crescent dough and divide the pieces into pre-cut triangles. Cut each triangle into 4 triangles by cutting off the top of the triangle, then cut the bottom of the triangle diagonally into 3 triangles. Refer to the pictures for guidance.
  • Roll one lit'l smokies sausage into each small triangle by placing the sausage on the wider base of the triangle and rolling towards the narrow end. Put each one on a baking sheet (I prefer to line it with parchment paper, but it's not necessary) with the larger portion of dough facing up. Space them out a bit since they will puff up.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Carefully remove and serve with your choice of dipping sauces or eat them plain. Delicious!

Notes

  • Leave a little space between each pig in a blanket so the crescent rolls bake evenly.
  • Bake until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve with ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
  • Pair them with our Beer Cheese Dip for an easy party appetizer.
