- 32 Lit'l Smokies
- 8 oz pkg. crescent roll dough
Preheat the oven to 375º F. Roll out the crescent dough and divide the pieces into pre-cut triangles. Cut each triangle into 4 triangles by cutting off the top of the triangle, then cut the bottom of the triangle diagonally into 3 triangles. Refer to the pictures for guidance.
Roll one lit'l smokies sausage into each small triangle by placing the sausage on the wider base of the triangle and rolling towards the narrow end. Put each one on a baking sheet (I prefer to line it with parchment paper, but it's not necessary) with the larger portion of dough facing up. Space them out a bit since they will puff up.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Carefully remove and serve with your choice of dipping sauces or eat them plain. Delicious!
- We like to serve these with barbecue sauce and beer cheese, but ketchup, mustard, or just plain will still taste yummy!
- This recipe makes 32 pigs in a blanket. Need to make less? Use a smaller package of crescent rolls or only use half of a larger package.
