Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • ½ cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼-½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cup mint leaves (minced)
  • ¼ cup store-bought Tzatziki sauce
  • 8 store-bought hamberger buns

Garnish Ingredients:

  • mixed greens
  • tomatoes (Sliced)
  • red onions (Sliced)
  • Extra crumbled feta cheese
  • Tzatziki sauce (store-bought)
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Combine ground turkey, diced red onion, chopped parsley, savory Tzatziki, minced garlic, crumbled feta, salt, and the remaining seasonings in a mixing bowl.
  • Use your hands or a fork to mix everything well! Shape the mixture into eight big, flat patties. Remember, they’ll be a bit delicate, so handle them gently.
  • Add a little olive oil to your pan and then preheat your cast-iron skillet, or frying pan over medium-high heat.
    Once the pan is heated, place the turkey burgers on it and cook them on each side for about 5-6 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. These turkey burgers can fall apart easily, so flip carefully.
    Stovetop skillet: 5–6 minutes per side
    Thicker burgers: closer to 7–8 minutes per side.
    Don’t press them down while cooking. Add a little oil to the pan.
    Let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving
    Cooking times may vary for thicker burgers.
  • Place a layer of fresh mixed greens on the bottom half of each hamburger bun to keep it from getting soggy. Add your patties on top, then finish with ripe tomato slices, sliced red onion, tzatziki sauce, and crumbled feta cheese.
