Equipment

  • cocktail shaker

Ingredients

  • 3-4 oz Pineapple juice
  • 2 oz Blueberry Simple Syrup (see tips for the recipe)
  • 2 oz lime juice
  • 2-4 oz Sparking water
  • fresh blueberries, pineapple slices, mint leaves (garnish optional)

Blueberry Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Begin by making the blueberry simple syrup.
  • Combine one cup of fresh or frozen blueberries, one cup of water, and one cup of sugar in a pot. Heat over medium-low heat.
  • Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves, then remove from the burner.
  • Cool the syrup completely, then strain it into a container and refrigerate.
  • Add the pineapple, lime juice, and blueberry simple syrup to a shaker with ice and give it a quick shake—about 10 seconds, we’re not auditioning for bartender of the year.
  • Strain into a glass with ice, top with sparkling water, and toss in a few blueberries.
  • Want to make it look like you tried? Use crushed ice, grab a tall glass, add a little mint and a pineapple slice on the rim, and call it a day.
