- 2 cups Bisquick mix
- 1 cup sugar
- ⅔ cup milk
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp almond extract
- 1 cup white frosting (more or less)
- ¼ cup sliced almonds
- non-stick spray
Preheat the oven to 350º F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with a non-stick spray.
Combine the Bisquick, sugar, milk, extract, and egg in a mixing bowl. Pour the batter into the greased square pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the edges are slightly browned, or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the center of the cake.
Remove the cake from the oven and cool completely before frosting and garnishing with sliced almonds.

- May substitute vanilla extract for almond but use 1 tsp.
- Garnish cake with walnuts or pistachios.
