Bisquick Almond Cake (Easy Afternoon Cake Recipe)

Almond Afternoon Cake
This cake is incredibly simple to make and absolutely delicious! You can't go wrong with this one!

Equipment

  • 8-inch square pan

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup white frosting (more or less)
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • non-stick spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350º F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with a non-stick spray.
  • Combine the Bisquick, sugar, milk, extract, and egg in a mixing bowl. Pour the batter into the greased square pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the edges are slightly browned, or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the center of the cake.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and cool completely before frosting and garnishing with sliced almonds.

Notes

    • May substitute vanilla extract for almond but use 1 tsp.
    • Garnish cake with walnuts or pistachios.
