Hello, I’m Beth!

I began my cooking and baking journey as a young girl following the lead of my mom and granny. I feel so fortunate that my siblings and I were taught to feel comfortable in the kitchen from a young age. We learned that mistakes were part of the process that helped to make recipes better next time. While I enjoy occasionally eating out, I’m glad to have the skills and knowledge to save money and tweak recipes to fit our lifestyle at home in my own kitchen. My love of cooking has only grown as I’ve taught friends, my own children, and hopefully you to make simple, delicious dishes! When I’m not working on my latest recipe, you can find me spending time with my husband and 3 mostly grown children or curled up with a good book.

I’m a mom of three grown children and a wife to a wonderful husband of over 20 years. My passion for food comes from growing up in the diverse city of Toronto, my time living in New York City and traveling to countries all over the world. These delicious experiences have exposed me to many beautiful cultures and cuisines. Whether you have to fly across the globe or make it right in your own home, food should invoke the senses and delight the soul. I hope you enjoy making recipes that allow you to discover new tastes right in your own home.
