- 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix
- ¼-½ cup strawberry frosting
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ¼-½ cup freeze-dried strawberries (crushed)
Set the oven to 350ºF. Spray the donut molds with nonstick spray. Mix the cake mix, eggs, oil, and milk in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer until combined.
Gently spoon the batter into the donut molds. Bake for 13-17 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before carefully removing them and placing them on a wire cooking rack to cool completely. *Alternately, you can pipe the batter into the donut molds.
Put ¼-½ of the strawberry frosting into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the frosting for 10-20 seconds until it is slightly running and warmed.
Dunk each donut into the melted frosting one at a time and immediately decorate with crushed freeze-dried strawberries. *Alternatively, drizzle the melted frosting over the top of each donut.
