This cosy old fashioned oatmeal breakfast is a winter staple in our household.

  • Slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1-2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup (Birch Benders Keto sugar-free brand used)
  • 1 Tbsp pecans (optional)

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients into the slow cooker except for the pecans and gently mix together.
  • Cover and set to High setting for 2-2½ hours or Low for 5 hours. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add dried apricots, coconut, cherries or blueberries.
  • Water can be substituted for milk.
  • Use half milk and half water.
  • Top with walnuts or almonds.
