Equipment

  • silicone donut mold

Ingredients

  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake mix
  • 15 oz pumpkin (canned)
  • 1 can of white frosting
  • green, purple, and gold sprinkles (for decorating)
  • non-stick spray

Instructions

  • Set oven to 350º F and lightly spray donut molds with non-stick spray. Using an electric mixer, combine the cake mix and the pumpkin puree.
  • Spoon batter into a greased donut pan. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the batter springs back when lightly pressed with a finger. Let the donuts cool slightly before moving to a wire rack to cool.
  • Warm the frosting in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Dip one donut at a time into the frosting and immediately decorate it with Mardi Gras-inspired sprinkles. Continue with the rest of the donuts.
  • Caution: Donuts will be hot when removed from oven.
