Huli Huli Sauce

Enjoy at taste of Hawaii 🌺 with this Huli Huli Sauce! Use it as a marinade for grilled chicken, steak or pork and serve it with rice and grilled pineapples.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 4 oz canned pineapple juice
  • 3 oz soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 inch fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a large jar and shake util well blended. Alternatively, place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until blended.

Notes

  • There's a ready made Huli Huli sauce available at World Market, Amazon, and other international grocery stores. It tastes great and makes an easy dish even easier!
  • In Hawaii, huli means "to turn" and this dish is huli huli because you turn it over often while grilling!
