This Hot White Pizza Dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer made with sour cream, mozzarella, herbs, and pepperoni instead of ricotta. It's an easy baked dip that's perfect for game day, potlucks, holidays, and any party where comfort food is on the menu.
Beth
- 24 oz sour cream
- 1 ½ envelopes of Lipton Recipe Secrets Savory Herb and Garlic
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella
- 5 oz bag of turkey pepperoni
- 2 loaves of french bread
Preheat oven to 350º F. In a 2 quart casserole dish (or any oven safe dish of a similar size), mix sour cream and Savory Herb and Garlic together.
Stir in 2 ½ cups of the mozzarella. Cut up pepperoni (I like to use meat scissors) and stir most of it into dip reserving some for the top. Spread the mixture into an even layer.
Sprinkle ½ cup of cheese over top and use reserved pepperoni to garnish.
Bake uncovered on center oven rack for 30-35 minutes. Meanwhile, cut bread into bite size chunks for dipping. The pizza dip is done when the cheese is completely melted and slightly browned. It will be lava hot! Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Turkey pepperoni helps keep the dip from getting greasy, but regular pepperoni works just as well.
- You can assemble the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it until you're ready to bake. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
- Serve warm with French bread, toasted baguette slices, or sturdy crackers for the best texture.
