- 2 eggs
- 13.25 oz box of Devil's cake mix (Betty Crocker Devil's Cake Mix was used)
- 21 oz cherry pie filling
- 1 oz chocolate liqueur
- chocolate frosting (optional)
- Maraschino Cherries (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350 º F and line either 12-13 jumbo muffins with paper liners or line 24 regular muffin cups with paper liners.
Mix the cake mix and eggs in a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer. Add the cherry pie filling and the chocolate liqueur and continue to beat on LOW speed until the mixture is smooth. *There should still be visible pieces of cherries.
Divide the muffin batter into the lined cups and bake for 17-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of one of the muffins comes out clean.
Cool the muffins completely before serving or garnishing with warm chocolate frosting drizzle and Maraschino Cherries.

- Fill a heaping ¼ cup into each prepared muffin cup for Jumbo Muffins.
- For the Chocolate Frosting Drizzle: Place some frosting into a microwave-safe dish and warm for 10-20 seconds or until it is slightly warm and easily drizzled on top of the muffins.
