- 1 ½ lb fresh green beans washed, trimmed and dried
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 400º F. Slice or mince the garlic cloves. Break the green beans in two, then place them in a shallow layer in a large casserole dish or cast iron pan ( I use the cast iron because it helps the cheese to get a little crunchy). Distribute the garlic over the green beans then evenly pour the cream over them.
Top with the shredded mozzarella and the grated parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.
Bake them in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is browned and the green beans are tender.
- These cheesy green beans are a total hit! They’re baked in the oven and made with just a few simple ingredients. Plus, they’re a great way to use up fresh veggies. And the best part? Even picky eaters will love them!
